Wen has many- year work experiences as an electrician, and an electrical engineer. He also has many-year teaching experiences as a college physics/electronics professor. Wen has a BS degree in Physics, and a Master degree in Physics. During his higher education Wen also took many classes in Electrical Engineering field. Currently he is pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

As the lab manager two of his main duties are: routinely conducting preventative maintenance for all facilities, equipments, and instruments used in the labs; providing technical assistances to the people doing researches in the Nevada Nanotechnology Center.
