Mahesh's research areas include fabrication and characterization of carbon nanotubes, nano material growth processes, VLSI architecture, and Nano system based semiconductor device development. He is presently working on fabricating carbon nanotubes and studying the various properties of carbon nanotubes. He works mostly with tools such as Matlab, C++, SystemC for the software part, VHDL/Verilog and synthesis tools, such as Leonardo Spectrum for the hardware part. His long term goal is to generate Integrated Circuits ( ICs ) from carbon nanotubes.
